My sketchbooks and notebooks are central to my creative development.
They accompany me everywhere and are both a record, documentation and
inspiration for my other work. My notes and watercolour sketches may be
captured moments of passing time: moods, conditions of weather, of colour,
of atmosphere, the movement of a body, the angle of a head, a stra nger
on a train, attempts to snatch a moment like catching a bird in flight
but letting it go in the same instant.
